Researchers working in and around Lomami National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo have described Colobus congoensis, known locally as likweli, in the journal PLOS One. It is only the fifth African monkey species named in 75 years, confirmed by 114 sightings across 1,700 square kilometres.
